By submitting a cause on Givar, you agree to the following terms.
You confirm that all information provided about the cause, beneficiary, and Providers is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You also confirm that you are authorised to submit this cause and have obtained any consent or authorisation reasonably required to share the information, documents, and images provided in connection with the cause.
You confirm that the beneficiary or their legal guardian is aware of and has authorised the fundraising effort where reasonably possible given the circumstances.
You agree to cooperate with Givar's verification process, including responding to requests for additional information or documentation.
Failure to provide requested information may result in delays, rejection, or suspension of the cause.
Givar reserves the right to approve, reject, pause, or remove causes at its discretion where verification concerns, policy issues, or fraud risks arise.
You understand that funds raised through Givar are not paid to organisers personally. Donations are processed through authorised third-party payment providers and settled to verified Providers supporting the cause in accordance with the payment provider's applicable settlement process.
Where a cause is divided into funding phases, only the currently approved phase may be open for contributions. Contributions may be paused once the funding target for that phase has been reached.
Givar may require reasonable verification of progress, expenses, or changes in circumstances before a subsequent funding phase is opened.
Funding phases are used to manage fundraising progress and transparency and do not mean that Givar holds donations in escrow or retains funds until a phase is completed.
You agree to keep information relating to your cause accurate and up to date and to reasonably cooperate with Givar to maintain transparency for donors throughout and, where applicable, after the fundraising process.
This includes notifying Givar if any approved cost item becomes fully funded, partially funded, reduced, cancelled, completed, or otherwise materially changes after submission, including through donations or other support received outside the platform, and maintaining the accuracy of any Provider information provided.
You also agree to reasonably cooperate with requests from Givar for information, photographs, documentation, or other evidence necessary to verify the progress, completion, or outcome of the cause and to provide appropriate updates to donors.
Where photographs, videos, documents, or other materials are provided for this purpose, you confirm that you have obtained any permissions or consents reasonably required to share those materials with Givar.
You authorise Givar to publish, promote, and share information relating to an approved cause through Givar's website, social media channels, emails, and other communications for the purposes of fundraising, raising awareness, providing donor updates, and demonstrating the impact of funds raised.
This may include the use of cause descriptions, photographs, videos, progress information, funding updates, and other media or materials provided or authorised in connection with the cause.
You also authorise Givar to publish updates during and after the fundraising period, including updates relating to funding progress, payments to verified Providers, completion of the stated need, and the outcome or impact of the cause.
Where appropriate, Givar may edit, crop, format, caption, or adapt submitted materials for these purposes, provided that doing so does not materially misrepresent the beneficiary, organiser, or cause.
You confirm that you have obtained any permissions or consents reasonably required for Givar to use and publish these materials in this manner.
If a cause can no longer proceed as originally presented due to the death of a beneficiary, recovery, completion of the need, receipt of support from other sources, overfunding, Provider unavailability, or any other material change in circumstances, Givar may suspend, modify, close, or otherwise administer the cause at its discretion.
Donations raised through Givar do not become the property of an organiser or beneficiary solely because they were raised for a particular cause. Any undisbursed funds affected by a material change in circumstances may be applied toward verified outstanding expenses related to the cause, reasonable associated costs, similar verified causes or charitable purposes, or otherwise handled by Givar in a manner consistent with donor intent and applicable law.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary permissions, consents, and authorisations to submit the information, documents, and images provided in connection with a cause.
You agree to indemnify and hold Givar harmless from claims arising from inaccurate information, unauthorised disclosures, or a lack of required consent relating to your submission.
Knowingly submitting false, misleading, or unauthorised causes may result in account suspension and potential legal reporting.
